LITMUS TEST FOR JESUS’ SECOND COMING–FAILED OR PASSED?
Why did human beings live longer before the Great Deluge? According to the Tanakh, from Genesis chapter 5 to chapter 7, we had records of mankind living such a long lifespans before the flood of Noah. Adam lived 930 years, Seth lived 807 years, Enosh lived 905 years, Kenan lived 910 years, Mahalalel lived 895 years, Jared lived 962 years, Enoch lived 365 years, and Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, for God had taken him. Methuselah had the longest lifespans of 969 years, Lamech lived 777 years and Noah lived 950 years.
The earth after the flood was dramatically different than it was before it. The differences included the changes ofvthe climate, atmospheric changes, changes in hydrologic cycle, geologic features, increase in harmful radiation, man’s dietary habits went from solely plant-
based to one where meat was eaten, and so on. These and many other factors led to man’s much shorter lifespans.
The pre-flood Biblical patriarchs lived incredible long lives compared to today. After it, the life expectancy of a person dropped to the modern average lifespan of a person of around 70 to 80 years as mentioned in Psalm 90:10-12:- The days of our years among them are seventy years, and if with might, eighty years; their proudest success is but toil and pain, for it is cut off swiftly and we fly away. Who knows the power of Your anger? As You are feared, so is your fury. Teach us to count our days, then we shall acquire a heart of wisdom.
Genesis 6:3:- And Hashem said, “My spirit shall not contend evermore concerning Man since he is but flesh; his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.” This verse has cause confusion regarding human lifespan. Is God setting a lifespan of 120 years. According to Jewish sages like Rashi and Ramban, regarding this verse, God would wait 120 years before bringing the Flood, to give mankind ample opportunity to repent. The 120 years is the countdown to the Great Deluge. The fact is that they were still peoples who lived well over 120 years life span after the flood until the time of Moses. The 10 generations after Noah to Abraham, bible records show their age above 120 years. Shem the most righteous son of Noah, lived 600 years, Arpachshad lived 438 years, Shelah lived 433 years, Eber lived 464 years, Peleg lived 239 years, Reu lived 239 years, Serug lived 230 years, Nahor lived 148 years, Terah, the father of Abraham lived 205 years, Abraham himself lived 175 years. The son of Abraham, called Isaac lived 180 years, and his grandson called Jacob lived 147 years.
So, in a nutshell, most men gradually lived shorter lifespans after the flood as was mentioned in Psalm 90:10. With the exception of some achieving centenarian status. So in the modern world it is just impossible to achieve antediluvian lifespans after THE GREAT DELUGE.
But basing on the promises made by Jesus about 2000 years ago, when Jesus walked on earth, teaching his diciples, that were found in Matthew 16:28; Mark 9:1 & Luke 9:27 respectively that, “I tell you the truth, some who are ‘STANDING HERE’ will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom” also the next verse:- And he said to them,” I tell you the truth, some who are ‘STANDING HERE’ will not taste death before they see the Kingdom of God come with power.” and the final verse also repeat:- “I tell you the truth, some who are ‘STANDING HERE’ will not taste death before they see the Kingdom of God.” You see from the 3 verse I highlighted ‘STANDING HERE’ means standing physically. So this is the LITMUS TEST OF JESUS SECOND COMING that if Jesus promises is still valid, you should be able to find some peoples “STANDING HERE” whom Jesus spoke to about 2000 years ago, these peoples should have double the lifespans of the some antediluvian with lifespan of 900plus years old that lived during the pre-Flood.
I am spanning the length and breadth of creation to look for some people who are almost 2000 years old. With the help of the Guinness Book of world records, I still cannot find people attaining double the age of Methuselah, the oldest person that ever lived and was recorded in the Bible. I think the chances is totally impossible. So if we can’t find, we can no longer trust Jesus because he had broke his promise. Will you believe in a person that broke his promises? I think there are still many people who blindly believe in Jesus. It is found in Matthew 15:14and Luke 6:39.
Matthew 15:14:- Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Luke 6:39:- And He also spoke a parable to them:” A blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Will they not both fall into a pit?” The collection of all the 27 books of the New Testament are a mixture of truth, half truth and falsehood. You can void the New Testament and render it invalid. Please go to this website that highlighted the 194 contradictions of the New Testament:- http://www.skeptically.org/bible/id6.html
The trouble with christians are that they prefer to be spoon-fed by the teachings of their preachers and pastors without really studying the Bible, to check whether their preachers or pastors are saying the right things.
Jeremiah 17:5,7:- Thus said Hashem: Accursed is the man who trusts in people and makes flesh and blood his strength and turn his heart away from Hashem.
Blessed is the man who trusts in Hashem, then Hashem will be his security.
If you study the New Testament about the “END TIMES”. Should have already happened. Jesus Christ and his apostles made MANY prophecies concerning Jesus’ second coming. Christians would have you believe that is shall come as “a thief in the night”. Yet the Bible is rather
clear concerning when it would happen. In truth, the Bible consistently said that it would follow soon after Jesus’death. When you point out such verses to christians, they will try to weasel it out by saying Jesus was talking about his “future” apostles versus the ones he was directly speaking to. All it takes is a a magnifying examinations of the pronouns used in order to see Jesus truly did believe the end times would happen nearly 2000 years ago. Keep in mind that all these verses
claim, it is “fit for reproof” and christianity “lives and dies on the believe of resurrection and the end times”. If we are to believe these verses and accept that the “END TIMES PROPHECIES” failed then surely the whole New Testament is invalid.
False prophecies about the Second Coming of Jesus:-
Jesus’predictions:
1) Jesus mistakenly tells his followers that he will return and establish his kingdom within their lifetime. Matthew 23:36 & 24:34.
Amen, I say to you, all these things will come upon “THIS GENERATION”. (Matthew 23:36)
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not giveits light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. “Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branch become tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near . In the same way, when you see all these things, know that he is near, at the gates. AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, “THIS GENERATION” WILL NOT PASS AWAY UNTIL ALL THESE THINGS HAVE TAKEN PLACE. HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL PASS AWAY, BUT MY WORDS WILL NOT PASS AWAY. (Matthew 24:29-35)
2)YET AGAIN, Jesus claims those standing RIGHT BEFORE HIM shall see his SECOND COMING.
Matthew 16:28 “There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” Don’t let christians lie to you and claim Jesus was referring to his modern day believers. The words “some standing Here will not taste death” clearly refutes such nonsense. Obviously the people he was speaking to, already died, and curiously Jesus STILL isn’t here to claim his kingdom. This is the LITMUS TEST of Jesus’ Second Coming. Can you find some people having double the age of Methuselah, 969 years old, the oldest person recorded in the Bible? If you can’t, you can totally forget about christianity. A religion that is considered null and void.
3)Jesus falsely prophesies that the end of the world will come within his audience’s lifetimes.
Amen, I say to you, THIS GENERATION will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Mark 13:30-31)
He also said to them, “Amen, I sat to you, there are SOME STANDING HERE who will not taste death until they see that the kingdom of God has come to power.” (Mark 9:1)
“Truly I say to you, there are SOME STANDING HERE who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:27)
4)Jesus implies that he will return to earth during the lifetime of John. ( John 21:20-23). Jesus was having a conversation with Peter regarding John the disciple whom Jesus loved that was following as well.
5)Jesus says that all that he descrobes (his return, signs in the sun, moon, stars, wars, etc.) will occur within the lifetime of his listeners. He purposely defines THEIR GENERATION and NOT a future one. Considering that NONE of those signs took place during the resurrection and that he uses the term of “Heaven and earth shall pass away”, clearly Jesus is prophesizing that nearly 2,000 years ago that his SECOND COMING SHOULD have occurred.(Luke 21:25-33)
“There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on thecearth nations will be in dismay, perlpexed by the roaring of the sea and waves. People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these signs begin to happen, stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand.”
He taught them a lesson.
“Consider the fig tree and all the other trees. When their buds burst open, you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near; in the same way, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, THIS GENERATION WILL NOT PASS AWAY UNTIL ALL THESE THINGS HAVE TAKEN PLACE. HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL PASS AWAY, BUT MY WORDS WILL NOT PASS AWAY.(Luke 21:25-33)
Matthew 10:23 also has Jesus telling his diciples that the second coming will occur before the disciples finish preaching in Israel: “When they persecute you in one town, flee to another. Amen, I say to you, YOU WILL NOT FINISH THE TOWNS OF ISRAEL before the Son of Man comes.” (Matthew 10:23). So you can give up the idea of preaching the gospel to the whole world. Do not waste your energy. Jesus will never come back.
John’s Predictions.
6)John believes “the time is at hand,” and that the things that he writes about in Revelation will “shortly cone to pass.” (Revelations 1:1-3)
7)John quotes Jesus (1,900 plus years ago) as saying he will come “quickly.” (Revelations 3:11; 22:7, 12 & 20)
8)John thinks he is living in “the last times.” He “knows” this because he sees so many antichrist around. (1John 2:18)
9)John says that the antichrist was already present at the time 1 John was written. (1 John 4:3)
Paul’s Predictions.
10)Paul thought that the end was near and that Jesus would return soon after he wrote these words.(Philippians 4:5)
11) Paul believed he is living in the “last days.” (Hebrews 1:2)
12)Paul believed that Jesus would come “in a little while, and will not tarry.” (Hebrews 10:37)
13) Paul stated in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17:- “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: And the dead Christ shall rise first: Then WE WHICH ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: And so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Paul shared the delusion, taught by Jesus, in that he expected to be snatched up bodily into heaven with other saints then living, who would, thus, never taste death. The use of “we” clearly proves as much. It is difficult to deny Paul was certain that the end of the world was coming in the lifetime of his comtemporaries.
Other Prophecies About Second Coming of Jesus:
15) James thought that Jesus would return soon. (James 5:8)
16) Peter wrongly believed that he was living in the “last times” and that ” the end of all things is at hand.” (1 Peter 1:20 & 4:7)
Finally with all these above-mentioned supporting verses, the LITMUS TEST FOR JESUS ‘ SECOND COMING must on base on, able to find “SOME STANDING HERE” whom Jesus spoke to during the time Jesus walked on earth about 2,000 years ago, that they will not taste death. This promise was made to them 1,900 plus years ago. If you can find some people with double the age of Methuselah of 969 years old. 969×2=1,938 years old. Then the element of hope of Jesus’ Second Coming might still be there. But if you can’t find some of this age, then Jesus had already broke his promise long time ago. God already decreed that a average person lifspan is 70 to 80 years old[Psalm 90:10} after the GREAT FLOOD. It is time for you to get out of the bandwagon of “The blind lead the blind” and come out of your spiritual slumber and be awaken to the call of the Creator God as stated in Ecclesiates 12:13-14:- ” The sum of the matter, when all has been considered: Fear God and and keep His commandments, for that is man’s whole duty. For God will judge every deed — even everything hidden — whether good or bad.
